A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to voice their thoughts at the latest comments to come from their defender Eric Dier.

In an interview with the Evening Standard, the 27-year-old came out with the claim he would like to have ashes scattered at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The defender has made 21 appearances under Jose Mourinho in the Premier League this season but has not played a league game since their 2-1 defeat away to West Ham in February (via Transfermarkt).

Dier arrived at Tottenham in 2014 from Sporting CP and has since gone on to make 271 appearances for the Lilywhites across all competitions.

However, the Spurs fans seemed to be taken by surprise after the 27-year-old’s comments surfaced and many took to Twitter to share their thoughts.

“this brudda is going to curse us forever. isn’t he?”

The 27-year-old has played all of his game time at centre-back this season after years of playing in midfield but has not made the starting XI since the disastrous 3-0 defeat against Dinamo Zagreb.

From the reaction of the Spurs fans, it is clear to see many were shocked by the comment from Dier, and there were not many who approved of his proposal.
