Tottenham Hotspur fans have been reacting to comments made by Alasdair Gold about the future of Davinson Sanchez at the club.

The 24-year-old defender, valued at £31.5m on Transfermarkt, has been used somewhat inconsistently by Jose Mourinho at times this season, only recently being given a long run of playing time in the first team once again.

And writing in an article for Football.london, journalist Gold claims that Sanchez is at something of a ‘crossroads’ at the club as they face an important decision about whether or not they should sell him.

Gold states that “the Colombian arguably could also raise the most funds if sold out of any centre-back at the club”, but at the same time if he stays at the club, he “could reach new heights with the right partner by his side once again.”

When his article was relayed to the Tottenham fans via his Twitter page though, there seemed to be a pretty strong voice coming from the fans when it came to their take on the situation, as they said they would much rather see him leave:

“He seems incapable of eliminating the flying kamikaze challenges from his game. He cannot be trusted in key games, key moments, and should be moved on.”

“Was meant to be a pacey strong defender and got outmuscled and paced early on against Abraham at Swansea I think. It was clear from then he wasn’t good enough.”
“Don’t keep him ….. use him to make funds and sign 2 CB”
“Sell him while you can”
“Get rid asap please please please”
“I can’t stress this enough. We have to cut ties”

Looks like he’s still got a few months in which to convince the club one way or the other.
