Tottenham Hotspur fans have been reacting to photos of Gareth Bale ahead of their game with Everton this Friday night, which were posted by the club’s official Twitter account.

With both teams desperately fighting it out for a spot in the Champions League, this game is pretty much the definition of a ‘six-pointer’ with a loss for either side set to do pretty big damage to their top-four chances, so both teams will need to be in top shape heading into the match.

And many Spurs fans think that being in top shape will require the Welshman to play. Bale, having had his playing time questioned a few months back has burst into life in the past few weeks when being given the chance to start including a spell of four goals in four starts in February and March.

Which is why, when the club’s official Twitter account posted pictures of the 31-year-old, valued at £18m on Transfermarkt, in training ahead of the clash with Everton, there were plenty of fans who were left begging for him to play a big role against the Toffees:

“Has to be starting – only genuine goal scorer beyond Kane and Sonny”

“Play him”
“Needs to play each game 100%”
“Hope this means he’s starting”
“Yo maybe try playing him just a suggestion”
“This man needs to be included in all of our remaining matches. Starting or coming in with much more that 10 minutes, so he can help us win. COYS!”

Will Gareth Bale come back next season?

Now, we just have to wait and see whether or not Jose Mourinho listens to them or if Bale ends up starting on the bench again.
