Graham Roberts has told This Is Futbol that Tottenham Hotspur interim manager Ryan Mason may give two youngsters a chance before the end of the season.

The 29-year-old became the youngest manager in Premier League history on Wednesday as Spurs came from behind to beat Southampton 2-1.

Mason has worked with the club’s academy since his return to the club as a coach and he will have a familiarity with a number of the young players in the squad.

Roberts does not think that there will be an influx of young players coming into the squad, but he believes that Dane Scarlett and Dennis Cirkin could have an opportunity to come into the team.

Scarlett has scored 22 goals in 20 games for the youth teams this season and has also played for the first-team in both the Premier League and the Europa League.

19-year-old Cirkin is a left-back and he has yet to make his debut for the first-team.

Speaking exclusively to TIF, Roberts claimed that the young striker is already turning heads behind the scenes.

He said: “I think the lad, Scarlett, he might get given a chance at the end of the season.

“Everybody raves about him.

“Cirkin at left-back, I think he might get given a chance.”
