Former Premier League striker Dean Windass has exclusively told This is Futbol that Danny Rose will be “jumping in the changing rooms” following the sacking of Jose Mourinho.

Rose, who hasn’t played for Tottenham since January 2020, was completely excluded from the group at the beginning of this season and was forced to train with the Under-23s having been left out of Mourinho’s 25-man Premier League squad.

Could Danny Rose play for Tottenham again?

No

This came after some fiery conversations shown on Spurs’ Amazon documentary ‘All or Nothing’ when the left-back was left furious following his lack of minutes having been dropped from the squad.

Rose ended up joining Newcastle on loan last January, and hours after Mourinho’s departure, reports have come out of Tottenham that the defender wanted a first-team return, even though he’s ineligible to play in the Premier League.

Windass was asked whether Rose’s Spurs career might have been a handed lifeline, despite his contract expiring this summer.

Starting with an easy one who is Leeds United's top Premier League goalscorer this season?

He told This is Futbol:

“Him and Dele Alli will be having a beer together now. He will be the first one jumping in the changing room and having a bit of banter.

“If they’re available to play, Dele Alli and Danny Rose will be saying to Ryan Mason ‘let me prove him wrong’, because there will be no love lost.”
