Get German Football News editor-in-chief Daniel Pinder has exclusively told This is Futbol that Julian Nagelsmann would be a good replacement for Jose Mourinho, amid links to the Bayern Munich job.

Mourinho was officially relieved of his duties as Tottenham manager on Monday with the club sitting 7th in the Premier League table following just five victories from their last 14 Premier League matches.

Would you be happy if Tottenham didn't get Nagelsmann?

No, he is the one I want

Yes, keep Jose

The final straw was Friday’s draw at Everton which left Spurs five points off the Champions League places, with the announcement coming less than seven days before their Carabao Cup final with Manchester City.

Reports on Tuesday say Nagelsmann is Levy’s preferred option to take over from the Portuguese and that the chairman has acted now to try and bring him to north London, and Pinder believes he would be a good replacement given what he has achieved as a head coach with both Hoffenheim and RB Leipzig.

Spurs have had quite a few odd players over the years, but can you remember them? Here is the first one, who is this former Tottenham man?

He told This is Futbol:

“He would be a good replacement for Mourinho, with Hoffenheim he brought them Champions League football, and then got his move to Leipzig and since then he’s really shown himself as a head coach.”

This really would be a great appointment for Spurs.

Following their wretched form and style under Mourinho, Tottenham need a fresh start and someone to come in with new ideas in order to get them back to where they previously were under Mauricio Pochettino.

But facing competition from Bayern Munich is going to make it an extremely difficult task for Daniel Levy.
