Tottenham Hotspur supporters have been reacting on Twitter after Marcelino was linked with replacing Jose Mourinho.

Spurs are on the hunt for a new manager after sacking Mourinho after 17 months in charge of the capital club.

Daniel Levy’s decision to axe the 58-year-old came just six days before the north London outfit are set to take on Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley Stadium.

However, according to The Athletic, the Tottenham hierarchy have already made contact with representatives of Athletic Bilbao boss Marcelino.

The Spaniard guided Los Leones to this season’s Copa del Rey final, losing 4-0 to Barcelona, but things have not been going too well for the 55-year-old this campaign, who only been in charge at the San Mames Stadium since January, and it appears most Spurs fans want him to stay there.

He won his first piece of silverware as a manager, the Copa del Rey, at the Mestalla in 2018/19.
