Daniel Levy was in attendance on Friday night as Spurs dropped points against Everton Goodison Park.

Jose Mourinho’s side once again failed to hold onto lead in the latest blow to their hopes of a top-four finish.

Spurs have won one of their last six matches in all competitions.

They topped the table in December but now find themselves seventh, five points off fourth-placed West Ham United having played a game more.

The League Cup final against Manchester City next weekend does, however, present an opportunity for Spurs to win their first silverware since 2008.

Will Levy be considering sacking Mourinho?

Beating Pep Guardiola’s side would be a major boost Jose Mourinho, whose position is coming under scrutiny. Athletic correspondent Jack Pitt-Brooke wrote on Friday night that ‘most of the players don’t like they are responding to him anymore’.

It has been reported that sacking Mourinho would involve a severance payment of £35million (via Daily Mail).

After Friday’s game, Last Word on Spurs tweeted a picture of Levy in the stands (as per Sky Sports), noting that he was ‘struggling to stay awake’. Here’s how fans reacted.
