A lot of Newcastle United fans have flocked to a post from their club which contains comments from Steve Bruce on Allan Saint-Maximin ahead of the Toon’s match against Liverpool on Saturday.
Bruce claimed that the 24-year-old was “OK” and had “trained all week“.
Saint-Maximin played 64 minutes against West Ham United last week before he was taken off, but it looks like he will be fine for the Toon’s trip to Anfield.
This has clearly pleased these Newcastle fans, who expressed their delight.
“Announce win, safety and takeover”
“European push”
“Really hope #NUFC have a go tomorrow, ASM, Miggy and Wilson can cause real problems for that poor Liverpool defence”
Do you think Saint-Maximin can help Newcastle beat Liverpool?
Yes, he can hurt them
No, we will lose no matter what
Saint-Maximin has made a big impact in the Toon’s last two matches, earning average WhoScored ratings of 8.03 and 7.84/10, scoring one goal and providing an assist.
So, you would think that for Newcastle to have any chance of getting something from the game, they would need the Frenchman, and it looks like he is fit and raring to go.
This post continued to draw in Toon fans who had their say.
“No doubt he’ll hobble off on Saturday anyway. I love him but he’s made of glass.”
“3 points tomorrow heard it here first”
“Pheewwwwwwww”
“Thank god”
It will be interesting to see how Saint-Maximin does as the Toon look to move 11 points clear of the relegation zone before Fulham play Chelsea in their next game.
