A lot of Newcastle United fans have flocked to a post from Lee Ryder, which has relayed comments from Steve Bruce’s press conference ahead of the Toon playing Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
Bruce claimed that he and his players had been “stewing” over the 3-0 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion and claimed that he would have loved a “game straight away”.
He also claimed that his players have to “leave it behind” and make sure they perform better against Spurs.
This has drawn the attention of these Newcastle fans, who are fuming.
“Another heavy defeat incoming. But I couldn’t care less as I’ve gave up. Players have, so we might as well.”
“Maybe the break would have been worthwhile if you actually had them working on things in training”
“Delusional”
Do you think Newcastle will play better on Sunday?
Yes, I hope so
No, probably play worse
The Toon are in a deep relegation battle and head into the final nine games of the season in 17th place, just two points above Fulham.
This post continued to draw in angry Newcastle fans who slated the Toon’s boss.
“The less we see of you the better, sure you will manage to ruin the weekend.”
“He’s the only one thinking that as I don’t think anyone wants to go through another 90 minutes of Steve Bruce football”
“Couldn’t play any worse”
“The bloke just makes me mad now every time he opens his gob”
The Chronicle released survey results earlier this week that showed that 95% of Toon fans want Bruce out, and it is clear to see from the replies that these Toon fans have certainly had enough.
