Newcastle United fans have been reacting to news regarding Ryan Fraser following Steve Bruce’s press conference this morning.

The 27-year-old signed for the club back in the summer on a five-year deal on a free transfer following his move from AFC Bournemouth, however, he hasn’t exactly set the world alight since the move, only scoring one goal in 22 appearances in a season that has been hampered somewhat by injury.

Things have gotten even worse for the Scot, with Steve Bruce confirming (via The Chronicle) that he had gone in for surgery, with him now listed as ‘touch and go’ to finish the season for the Magpies as they look to continue their battle against relegation.

The news was relayed to the supporters by journalist Lee Ryder on social media under the title that his ‘season could be as good as over’, where there was plenty of frustration headed the player’s way, with many angry about how much of the season he has missed:

“Did it start?”

“It never got going absolutely pathetic he’s been”
“Should never have signed him in my opinion”
“He’s had a massive impact as well…”
“Didn’t even start”
“Did it ever get started?”

It’s just as well they didn’t end up paying too big a fee for him or you’d imagine there might be a lot more anger coming out of these comments.
