A lot of Newcastle United fans have flocked to a post from Rafael Benitez in which he congratulates Alan Shearer for being included in the Premier League’s Hall of Fame.
The former Toon manager claimed that he was “very happy” for Shearer, and his post sent these Toon fans wild as they begged for Benitez to return.

Benitez left Tyneside in the summer of 2019 after 146 games as Newcastle manager, and it is clear that many Toon fans still love him and want him back.

Benitez is back in England and is reportedly keen to get another job; however, it has been suggested he will not return to Newcastle while Mike Ashley is still the owner of the club.
However, it is clear from the replies just how much Benitez means to many Toon fans, and it is clear that they want him back.
Whether Benitez’s tweet was a hint over his own desires is up for debate, but there is clearly a connection between the club and the Spaniard.
It would be great to see Benitez back on Tyneside, but it is pointless speculating on his return until Ashley leaves.
