Newcastle United fans have been reacting to claims that they could be set to chase after Bristol City’s Antoine Semenyo.
A report from Bristol Live has claimed that Newcastle United, along with fellow Premier League sides Crystal Palace and West Ham United are showing an interest in the 21-year-old forward. A versatile player who can play anywhere along the front three, Semenyo has only managed to find the back of the net twice this season, although has managed to chip in with five assists along the way.
When the news was relayed to them via the Newcastle United – Chronicle Facebook page, though, there didn’t seem to be a lot of enthusiasm when it came to the claims, with many of them rather underwhelmed that they were being linked with someone in the Championship. Or indeed that they were being linked with someone with such a poor record:
