Fans of Newcastle United have been reacting on Twitter after a report revealed a bid is being prepared for Kristoffer Ajer ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Magpies have struggled at the back this season, conceding 54 goals in their 33 Premier League games to date, and it appears Steve Bruce is already lining up some targets in order to improve on that tally next term.
Celtic centre-back Ajer is set to enter the final 12 months of his contract with the Glasgow giants over the coming months and has been linked with a move away from the former Scottish champions as a result.
According to the Daily Mail, Newcastle are stepping up their efforts to sign the Norway international amid interest from AC Milan and Norwich City, with an £8m offer set to be tabled shortly, and it seems as though the North East outfit’s supporters are excited by the news.
