Fans of Newcastle United have been reacting on Twitter after a report revealed the club are lining up a move for Hamza Choudhury ahead of the summer transfer window.
The 23-year-old defensive midfielder has struggled for game time at Leicester City this season, starting just four Premier League matches for Brendan Rodgers’ side.
Choudhury’s lack of action has led to speculation that the former England Under-21 international could be set to depart the King Power Stadium over the coming months, and Newcastle have been linked as a possible destination for the £7.2m-rated man (as per Transfermarkt).
According to The Chronicle, the Magpies are set to rival Norwich City for Choudhury’s signature, with the Championship league leaders looking to bolster their ranks ahead of their Premier League return.
However, the St. James’ Park faithful don’t appear to be very keen on the Leicester man and would rather see the club’s resources poured into making Joe Willock’s loan deal a permanent one.

Willock has scored four potentially pivotal goals for Newcastle since arriving from Arsenal in January and has been linked with a £20m move to the North East over the summer, so it’s easy to understand why the fans want to see him sign over Choudhury.
