Lots of Newcastle United fans have been discussing a news update involving Sean Dyche that emerged on social media.

The Daily Mail has recently reported that if Dyche leaves Burnley at the end of the season, Chris Wilder could be in line to replace him. Burnley are currently concerned about losing Dyche to another Premier League side and Crystal Palace are one of the clubs interested in him, considering the uncertainty involving Roy Hodgson’s position.

Having said that, Dyche has been linked with a move to Newcastle in the past and this news about the Burnley boss has alerted many Toon fans.

What did Newcastle fans make of the news about Sean Dyche?

“Depends if the club survives and if it is sold then surely they would want someone to match their ambitions. I would take him now if we could.”

Eurosport has reported that although Mike Ashley still has confidence in Steve Bruce, Wilder and Dyche are names that are in the frame if Bruce does depart St. James’ Park anytime soon.

Starting with a relatively recent player. Who is this?

However, the report from The Daily Mail has stated that Palace have already begun the process of replacing Hodgson, but the compensation fee of £3.5million for the former Watford manager could be a problem.

There seems to be a mixed reaction from Newcastle fans about Dyche and whether they want him as their next manager.

Dyche’s stint at Burnley began back in 2012 and since then, he has guided the Clarets to the Premier League twice. Even when they got relegated, they came back to the top flight the following season. Dyche has helped Burnley establish themselves as a Premier League outfit.

Considering that the Magpies are struggling in the relegation zone, they perhaps need someone like Dyche to offer them stability as a Premier League team, so he may not be a bad option for them.
