Starting with a relatively recent player. Who is this?

One of the topics that he spent some time on was Allan Saint-Maximin’s future at the club.

The 24-year-old only recently signed a new six-year deal and is valued at £25.2m by Transfermarkt, but the Shields Gazette reporter thinks that Saint-Maximin could leave Newcastle this summer.

He said: (9:58) “I think there is a possibility Allan Saint-Maximin leaves the football club this summer. I think that is a distinct possibility, but I think if Allan Saint-Maximin does leave the football club, Newcastle United will be richly rewarded for the player.

(10:35) “I think you’ll find Allan Saint-Maximin; if he does leave the football club, it’ll be for a rather large sum.”

Do you think Newcastle will keep Saint-Maximin?

TIF Thoughts on Saint-Maximin…

Since signing for Newcastle, the Frenchman has made 49 appearances in which he has scored seven goals and provided 11 assists in all competitions.

In games that he hasn’t played in the Premier League since he arrived, Newcastle have only won three.

Many Toon fans also love him, and if he was to leave, you can imagine that there would be a lot of unhappy Newcastle supporters out there.

He has had injury problems throughout his time on Tyneside, but when he plays, Newcastle are much more likely to win games, and losing him would be a blow.

However, if the Toon remain in the Premier League, that should give them some protection, as should his six-year contract.

So, it will be interesting to see what happens in the summer to Saint-Maximin, but we hope that he stays on Tyneside.
