Newcastle United fans on Twitter have been sharing their criticism for Toon attacker Joelinton and his latest display for the Magpies during their Premier League showdown against Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.

Newcastle’s previous Premier League match saw them beat West Ham United 3-2 at St James’ Park.

Starting with a relatively recent player. Who is this?

This time around, Steve Bruce’s side travelled to Anfield to face Liverpool after they failed to beat Leeds United in their previous league outing.

During the match against the Reds, lots of Toon fans were not happy with what they were seeing from Joelinton, which led to many of them taking to Twitter to share their thoughts and opinions.

So, what did these Newcastle fans have to say about Joelinton and his performance against Liverpool?

Joelinton is useless #NUFC

@SaintMaxJR

“Joelinton is a disgrace. Just awful. Worst player I’ve ever seen at the club.”

@Munson316

#nufc Sorry but Joelinton is a complete liability.”

@elmarcosmasonos

Struggling to avoid using caps lock here, but Joelinton is the worst striker I’ve ever seen in #nufc.. that is all really.. just shocking”

@AndreasAsB

I can’t put up with another season of joelinton never mind Bruce #nufc

@toontasticly

Can anyone explain to me what Joelinton actually offers us? #NUFC

@edletoon

Newcastle signed Joelinton back in the 2019 summer transfer window from German club Hoffenheim for a fee of £39.6 million.

Looking at these tweets from this group of Newcastle fans, it seems that they were not best pleased with the Brazilian’s efforts against the Merseyside club.

Given how Chronicle Live only gave Joelinton a match rating of 6/10 and said that he was “unable to build on his performance against West Ham,” it’s easy to see why these fans were so disappointed with his display at Anfield.

Should Newcastle sell Joelinton in the summer?

Moving forward, unless the 24-year-old can turn his form around before the end of the season, he could well see himself out of the team for the run-in with Newcastle hoping to dodge relegation.
