Newcastle United fans on Twitter have been sharing their criticism for Toon midfielder Jonjo Shelvey and his latest performance for the Tyneside club during the first half of their Premier League clash against Liverpool.

Coming off the back of a 3-2 win over West Ham United at St. James’ Park, Steve Bruce’s side travelled to Anfield to take on the Merseyside club and attempt to move further away from the relegation zone.

Starting with a relatively recent player. Who is this?

During the first half of the game against the Reds, lots of Toon supporters were not impressed with what they saw from Shelvey and his display on the pitch.

This led to lots of Newcastle fans flocking to Twitter to share exactly what they were thinking about Shelvey and his performance.

So, what did these Newcastle fans have to say in response to Shelvey’s performance in the first half against Liverpool?

“Shelvey offering us nothing, yet again.”

Newcastle signed Shelvey back in the 2016 January transfer window for a fee of £14.4 million and has since gone on to make over 160 appearances with the Toon (per Transfermarkt).

Looking at these tweets from this group of Newcastle fans, it’s clear to see that they were not happy with what they saw from Shelvey during the first half against Jurgen Klopp’s side.
