Lots of United fans have taken to Twitter to vent their anger at a report claiming Mike Ashley will shut down their club shop and make the staff redundant.

In a report from the Daily Mail, it has been reported the Newcastle owner is set to shut down their club shop and inform the staff the proposed new Saudi Arabia-based do not want to keep them.

The club shop is expected to be emptied by the current staff before eventually being restocked by the supplier for next season, Castore.

Last summer the club were reportedly close to being taken over by a Saudi Arabian-backed consortium, but it is said they pulled out of the running to buy the club.

However, it has been rumoured a takeover bid is still bubbling away in the background with both parties trying to find a solution to get it over the line.

Do you think the takeover will go through in the summer?

Yes, it has to
