A lot of Newcastle United fans have replied to a post from Mark Douglas, which was in response to Rio Ferdinand’s tweet on the European Super League.
The former Manchester United defender tweeted an angry emoji with a video from BT Sport in response to the ESL plans, and The Chronicle reporter told him to “pipe down” after he was “mocking” Newcastle fans over Mike Ashley.
This post drew in these Newcastle fans who loved this post from Douglas.
“So Rio Ferdinand goes against everything he told NUFC fans because it now has an effect on his club Man Utd. Remember the owners of the club can do what they want as they own the club. The big greedy six are a disgrace”
“Mark at the back post!”
“GET INTO HIM MARK”
Is Ferdinand right to be called out here?
Yes, exactly what he deserves
No, it was just a mistake
Ferdinand recently claimed that if Toon fans were so unhappy with Ashley, then they should save up and buy the club.
In response, the NUST launched a scheme to save up enough to own 1% of the club, but Ferdinand’s suggestion was ridiculous, and it is clear that Douglas’ put down went down very well with these Toon fans.
“Rio goes along with anything that is relevant at the time”
“A huge W for you”
“Yasss Mark, drag him.”
“This is the mark douglas the world needs”
The European Super League, in our opinion, is a horrible idea, but Ferdinand’s suggestion that Newcastle fans should save up and buy their club was equally terrible, and it has been rightly slated here by Douglas.
