First up in this Mo Salah quiz, what is his current squad number for Liverpool?

The Reds were one of six Premier League clubs to sign up to the ESL, only for it all to have collapsed by Wednesday morning after an intense backlash.

Liverpool is a club that is deeply connected to its city, and this action from owner John Henry didn’t consider that.

Maguire claims that he doesn’t even think that Henry will care about his reputation after this debacle.

He said: “John Henry has damaged the reputation of John Henry, but he won’t care because if you are a very successful commodities trader, and that’s what you are, you’re used to a fairly tough environment.

“He’s living in Boston, so he’s not actually feeling the degree of hostility.”

Do you think Henry should sell the club?

TIF Thoughts on Henry…

Since Fenway Sports Group took over Liverpool in 2010, they have made some spectacularly bad PR moves, including furloughing staff even though FSG is worth over $3bn (£2.2bn).

However, this was arguably the worst of the lot, and in Jamie Carragher’s eyes, he has now ruined his standing with the fans, and he will never get that back.

If you look at the replies to the apology that he made, it is clear that many Reds fans are fuming, and rightly so.

Rather worryingly, Maguire appears to suggest Henry will not feel much remorse nor the true ferocity of the fans’ disgust over the matter.

It will be interesting to see what happens next, as according to Florentino Perez, this ridiculous idea is not dead.

To stop that, in our opinion, action needs to be taken to get the likes of Henry out of football.
