Bundesliga expert Daniel Pinder has told This Is Futbol that striker Taiwo Awoniyi does not have a future at Liverpool.

The 23-year-old joined the Reds back in 2015 but he has yet to make his first-team debut for the club.

Instead, he has gone on various loan spells and is currently with Union Berlin in Germany.

Are you confident Liverpool will sign some new players this summer?

No

This season, he has scored five goals in 19 Bundesliga games, but his future is up in the air beyond the end of the campaign, but the likelihood is that Liverpool will try to find him another club.

Indeed, Pinder, editor-in-chief at Get German Football News, believes that there is little chance of the ex-Nigeria Under-23 international earning his way into Jurgen Klopp’s first-team.

Awoniyi has gone on no fewer than seven loan spells since joining the Reds, going to FSV Frankfurt, NEC, Mouscron, twice, Gent, and now Union Berlin.

Asked if he could have a chance at Anfield, Pinder told TIF: “I’d like to say yes but I think at 23, I’m not sure he’d get a run at Liverpool now.”
