Leeds have had some odd players over the last ten years but how well do you remember them. Starting with the most recent one, who is this?

In a special Q&A episode, one topic Hay discussed was Leif Davis, who received high praise from Marcelo Bielsa last season but has barely been involved in this one.

Davis has made two Premier League appearances against Manchester City and Manchester United totalling 31 minutes, and then he also played against Crawley Town in the FA Cup and Hull City in the Carabao Cup.

However, Hay still thinks that the club rate Davis.

He said: “I still think he’s prominent, and I still think he’s valued, and he’s been good for the [Under-23s] in patches as well.

“I guess you would say that given that left-back has been a position that hasn’t really picked itself through this season, you might have expected Davis to come into the team, but again, Bielsa seems to be happy with Alioski; he seems to trust Alioski.

“I think Davis, like others, is just going to have to be patient and is going to have to wait his turn.”

Do you think Davis should be given a chance before the end of the season?

TIF Thoughts on Davis…

Last season the 21-year-old signed a new deal at Elland Road that will keep him there until the summer of 2023, and after making five first-team appearances last season, perhaps some people were expecting him to be more involved this season, but it hasn’t panned out that way.

Leeds do have nine games of the season left, and with Ezgjan Alioksi’s contract expiring in the summer, could we see Davis given a chance at left-back?

Hay seems to think not, because Bielsa trusts Alioski but considering the Whites are 13 points clear of the relegation zone, we would like to see Davis given a chance in the first team.

We will have to see what happens, but Davis is still young and has plenty of time to make it at Elland Road, even if he hasn’t featured that much this season.
