Leeds United fans have flocked to a post on the club’s official Twitter account after summer signing Rodrigo outlined his commitment to the Whites.

In a recent interview with Football Insider, former Premier League forward Gabby Agbonlahor stated that he believed Rodrigo is ‘very unhappy’ at the West Yorkshire outfit after being ‘humiliated’ in the recent defeat to Chelsea, where he was substituted by Marcelo Bielsa after coming off the bench himself.

The Sky Sports pundit went even further in the interview, claiming that Bielsa could have lost the 30-year-old after his actions at Elland Road last month, but the Spain international has taken to Instagram to dispel those theories.

Writing on his account, Rodrigo said: “I’m happy, focused and working hard to help my teammates end this great season in the best possible way,” and the news went down extremely well with the Leeds supporters.

“What a player and a guy we have, nothing for you to apologise for Rodrigo.”

Rodrigo has only made 12 Premier League starts for Leeds this season following his £27m move from Valencia, but the likes of Timo Werner and Kai Havertz have also struggled to settle into English football this season, and the best could still be to come from the pacey attacker.
