Leeds United supporters have been reacting on social media after a report emerged linking the club with a summer move for Aaron Ramsdale.

The Sheffield United shot-stopper has endured a difficult campaign with the Blades this season, conceding 52 goals in his 30 Premier League appearances to date.

Ramsdale looks destined to suffer his second relegation in a row with the south Yorkshire outfit marooned at the foot of the top-flight table after suffering the same fate with Bournemouth in 2019/20.

Despite finishing in 18th place with the Cherries last season, the England under-21 international did enough for former Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder to spend £18.5m on his services, and in an exclusive interview with Football Insider, ex-Leeds forward Noel Whelan suggested Marcelo Bielsa could be looking at the 22-year-old ahead of this summer’s transfer window.

Although it’s hard to impress in a struggling team, Ramsdale’s lowly 6.47 WhoScored rating indicates his performances have been underwhelming so far this season, and the Leeds fans’ reactions on Twitter and Facebook clearly show they aren’t in favour of Whelan’s proposal.

With Illan Meslier impressing in the Leeds United goal, it’s likely Ramsdale would be consigned to sitting on the bench most weeks, and the Elland Road outfit would have to pay a substantial fee for the £10.8m rated man just to be second choice.
