To kick off this quiz on Seamus Coleman, what squad number does the right-back currently wear for the Toffees?

One of the topics that he spent a bit of time on was Jean-Philippe Gbamin’s return from injury.

The 25-year-old was signed in the summer of 2019 and made two appearances for the Toffees before he suffered a hamstring injury, he then suffered an ACL injury last year, and after a long time out, he made his return to the Everton first team against Crystal Palace on Monday.

The Ivory Coast international, who is valued at £16.2m by Transfermarkt, was brought off the bench and played 11 minutes, and Prentice thinks that he will be raring to go.

He said: (3:53) “Gbamin will probably be chomping at the bit, he would love to get involved, from the quotes we saw from him earlier in the week; he was very, very keen to be involved.

“He told the manager he wanted to be involved against Crystal Palace, and he was, but it is asking an awful lot to thrown him in from the start of [a] game so quickly, and you would feel for the lad if that much responsibility and pressure was put on his shoulders.”

Do you think Gbamin should start on Monday?

TIF Thoughts on Gbamin…

After such a long time out injured, you could forgive the 25-year-old for wanting to ease himself back into the first team, but from his interview with the Liverpool Echo, it appears as if he wants to be involved against Brighton & Hove Albion.

However, given the Toffees’ other midfield options and the time Gbamin has been out, we think it would be best if he started the match on the bench and is eased back into life at Goodison Park.

Gbamin’s time at Everton has been horrible so far, but it is great to see him back and determined to play.
