First up in this Gareth Barry quiz, which club did Villa sign the midfielder from?

The two brothers in question, Jacob and Aaron, are both from Villa’s academy and have impressed.

Jacob, in particular, has impressed and has played in 13 Premier League games this season, which given the competition in the centre of midfield in Villa’s first team, is impressive.

Certainly, Hendrie is pleased to see the Ramsey brothers making progress.

He said: “I spoke to a few people about the youngsters coming through and, obviously, those two [Jacob and Aaron] stand out.

Ramsey’s a very good player – Jacob, recently, we’ve seen that. Obviously, players are starting to come into the fold. It’s great that the youngsters are starting to get a bit of a chance.

“It’s great he’s [Dean Smith] started to bring a few of the youngsters in, obviously, the cup games, we’ve started to see a few of the young lads that could possibly become a feature, which has been great for the club.”

TIF Thoughts on Villa’s youth system…

In recent years, the most prominent player to come through Villa’s youth system is Jack Grealish, who is now the club’s captain and considered an excellent player.

So, you would think he could be a good example for the Ramsey brothers to follow, and we think it’s great to see Jacob playing in the Premier League, and we hope that his brother Aaron gets the chance to do the same at some point.

Villa are seven points off the top six as it stands, so they could be unlikely to make a late push for Europe, so could now be the ideal time to give Aaron a league game?

Certainly, we would like to see it happen, but even if it doesn’t, it has been great to see Jacob playing in the Premier League this season.
