Leeds have had some odd players over the last ten years but how well do you remember them. Starting with the most recent one, who is this?

One of the topics that he spent some time on was Kalvin Phillips’ role for England.

The 25-year-old played in all three of the Three Lions’ games in the latest international break, which can only be a good sign ahead of the delayed Euro 2020 this summer.

However, there are fans of certain clubs who don’t seem to rate Phillips, and Gary believes that the only reason for that is because he plays for Leeds United.

He said: “Let’s be honest, we’ll get to the elephant in the room now.

“The reason people don’t think Kalvin is good enough for England [is] because he plays for Leeds. That’s the long and short of it. Simple as that.

“If Kalvin went to a Man City, Arsenal, Chelsea, Man United – not that he ever would – they’d be singing his praises.”

Do you think Phillips deserves his England place?

TIF Thoughts on Phillips…

Phillips has made a solid start to his England career and has already racked up seven caps for his country and received praise from Gareth Southgate.

His Premier League performances have also been solid as he has achieved a 7.03 rating from WhoScored from his 21 league appearances.

The Whites also massively struggle without him because in the eight league games he has missed this season, Leeds have conceded 15 goals and only won two games.

Ultimately, though, it doesn’t matter if certain England fans don’t rate him because all that matters is that Southgate rates him, and that seems to be the case.

We think that Phillips, who is valued at £24.3 million (as per Transfermarkt), deserves to be playing for England, and we hope to see him involved in Euro 2020 later on this year.
