These Leeds United fans have demanded to see 19-year-old Crysencio Summerville play against Manchester City this weekend.

Marcelo Bielsa’s men are set to be a player sort this weekend as Jack Harrison, on loan from Pep Guardiola’s side, is ineligible to play. Harrison has been an ever-present in the side this season starting 27 games, only missing the reverse fixture for the same reason, and that means there’s a space going in the starting eleven.

And whilst there are more senior options to choose from, like Ian Poveda, Helder Costa and Raphinha, Leeds fans felt that, given they don’t have anything to play for and with the young Dutchman playing pretty well for the U23 side this season (having posted a return of five goals and seven assists for the club), playing this weekend would be a fine reward for the effort he has put in:

“What about Summerville.”

“I know Costa is likely to come straight in for Harrison, but it’d be nice to see Summerville get some minutes, Costa has hardly set the world alight this season”
“Summerville instead of Costa would be a lovely surprise thank you very much MB”
“As Harrison can’t play. Can we play Summerville? It would be a strange decision and logically makes no sense, but we’re safe and it would be really fun to play him.”
“I’d pay to see Summerville play before Poveda. Costa should start but sub winger Summerville please”
“Get Summerville in, not that Costa, may as well play with 10 men if Costa starts.”

However, Manchester City may not be the team you want to be up against in your Premier League debut, especially given the run of form they have been on, it’s pretty much the epitome of being thrown in at the deep end.
