Many Leeds United fans have been reacting to Kalvin Phillips’ message after England’s victory over Poland in their World Cup qualifier.

The 25-year-old midfielder has started to become an integral part of Gareth Southgate’s plans recently, starting all three games over the most recent international break, a spell that saw England pick up three wins against San Marino, Albania and Poland.

And Phillips wasn’t just along for the ride, either. As these stats from @LUFCDATA show, he was pretty important in terms of dictating the play for Southgate’s side, completing 93.1% of his passes over the three games.

Although he did come under some criticism for his performances from fans of other clubs, Leeds fans were more than willing to share their love and appreciation for his efforts.

When he posted this message on his Twitter feed about England’s accomplishments, there were plenty of fans who offered positive thoughts about his display over the past few games:

“Immense as ever Yorkshire Pirlo now get home for us”

“Well done Kalvin, makes me proud to see a Leeds player in the England squad. Hoping to see you play in the Euros and then in the world cup MOT”
“Absolute Baller. You’re going to the Euros”
“Job well done. Ignore the haters, they are insignificant. What is significant is to see the pride on your face every time you wear the England shirt.”
“Quality performance yet again. You do your job so well. Thanks pal.”
“Quality. A mainstay of the squad already after just a few games!!”

Of course England’s next games aren’t until the buildup to the European Championships, and unless something drastic happens, you’d imagine that Phillips is likely going to be a part of that squad.
