Fans of Leeds United have been reacting to a post on Twitter, in which the club relayed footage of Stuart Dallas’ opening goal for the Whites on Saturday.

In the fixture itself, United remarkably overcame all the odds to secure a historic victory against the league leaders, Manchester City, with a brace from Dallas seeing Marcelo Bielsa’s side take a 2-1 win from the clash at the Etihad Stadium, despite Liam Cooper being sent off late on in the first half.

Starting with an easy one who is Leeds United's top Premier League goalscorer this season?

However, despite his red card, Cooper still played a big part in the victory, with the centre-back’s pinpoint long ball up to Helder Costa being what eventually led to Dallas’ 42nd-minute opener.

And, after Leeds shared footage of the goal that put them 1-0 up against Pep Guardiola’s men on Twitter, fans of the club flocked to have their say on the moment of magic, with many singling out Cooper for praise.

“The pass from Liam Cooper – sensational.”

“Costa had a hand in both goals, well played. And, the assist by Patrick Bamford. But that pass by Liam Cooper. I hope we don’t get labelled long ball merchants now.”

“Brillant team goal. Side before self every time.”

@Damien_Cms

“Didn’t even register Cooper’s pass yesterday. Wow!”

@SanderAmundsen

“That long ball from Coops.”

“Just beautiful.”

“Can we just appreciate that ball from Cooper?”

@SamBirdyy

All in all, it would appear that these Leeds fans hold no ill feelings towards Cooper whatsoever, despite his rather reckless challenge making his teammates’ task considerably more challenging against City, although, having watched the footage, the ball from the centre-back is certainly worthy of praise.
