Lots of Leeds United fans have flocked to Adam Pope’s latest tweet about Adam Forshaw.

Pope recently tweeted an image of Forshaw, confirming that the midfielder is now set to play for the Leeds United Under-23s side against the Aston Villa Under-23s outfit on Friday night, with Mark Jackson’s men needing just a single point to win the title.

This comes after Forshaw had played for the Whites’ Under-23s team against York City in a friendly. It was described as his first step towards recovery from a persistent hip injury.

A lot of these Leeds fans seem very happy about Forshaw’s potential return to fitness and they are making their opinions clear about it.

In the Championship, Forshaw was a regular member of the club’s first team. He played 31 games in the 2018/19 campaign, featuring limited times in the other two campaigns for the side.

The 29-year-old will add more depth to the midfield, especially since Jamie Shackleton and Mateusz Klich are the only two fit central midfield options for Marcelo Bielsa right now. So his potential return might be a boost for the Whites.
