Lots of Leeds United fans have been discussing the club’s links with a move for Nicolas Tagliafico.
The Sun have recently reported about Tagliafico, stating that Leeds have now entered the race to sign the Argentine left-back from Ajax, amidst interest from Chelsea and Manchester City.
The report states that Ajax are resigned to losing Tagliafico in the summer and he could be allowed to leave for £17.5million as well. Even though the Argentine has two years left on his deal, he reportedly has an agreement with Ajax that he can leave.
Should Leeds move for Tagliafico?
This news was relayed on Twitter by Leeds United News. Many Whites fans made their views clear about the defender.
What did Leeds fans make of the links with Tagliafico?
“Wiki says He is noted for his “lung-busting stamina, excellent technique and continuous enterprise”. Sounds like a Bielsa player to me!“
“Well if he wants to play for his country then it’s Leeds all the way.“
The report states that Leeds are looking to strengthen at left-back in the summer and while Ezgjan Alioski has done a job at left-back, Marcelo Bielsa wants a specialist in the left-back position. It is believed that Tagliafico’s playing style would suit the demands of his compatriot’s system.
Tottenham were said to be interested in the left-back when Mauricio Pochettino was at the club some time ago.
“pray for the super league cause we will get him then.”
