Leeds United journalist Adam Pope has recently talked about potential departures for the club in the summer.

On the OTB Football podcast, the BBC journalist was asked about multiple issues involving the Elland Road outfit. He was asked about players that might exit the club in the summer.

The journalist talked about Pablo Hernandez and Ezgjan Alioski, saying that the Macedonian hasn’t been offered a new deal yet and even though Hernandez has a year left on his deal, he could also depart the club in the summer.

It has been previously reported that Alioski has agreed pre-contract terms with Galatasaray, who could sign him on a free transfer in the summer.

Hernandez has failed to become a regular member of the side in the Premier League, having been reduced to the fringes.

Starting with an easy one who is Leeds United's top Premier League goalscorer this season?

Pope talked about these potential departures, saying that it would be sad that these players won’t be getting proper send-offs.

He stated: “What I do think, there will be some players [leaving], sadly and probably even though he’s got another year, Hernandez; you do wonder about Alioski, he’s out of contract and nothing’s been sorted yet to keep him at the club, there’s talk about going off to Turkey as well, which is not being met with great reception, because it’s Galatasaray.

“I think you’ll probably see some of those – wouldn’t necessarily say fringe players, but players that they might look to replace now. And that’s sad, because they won’t get the send-off that they need.”

Will Hernandez and Alioski deserve a better send off?

TIF Thoughts on Alioski and Hernandez…

Considering that Hernandez isn’t an important part of the team and that Leeds can still get a fee from his sale in the summer, it is easy to see why the Whites would want to sell him.

As for Alioski, Leeds have been linked with a move for Brest full-back Romain Perraud. The 23-year-old has impressed this season, scoring three goals and getting five assists for the Ligue 1 side. So even if Alioski does leave, they might already be looking to replace him with a younger talent.

So keeping those factors in mind, it is understandable why the Whites could be parting ways with those two players in particular this summer.
