Rob Lee, speaking exclusively to Football FanCast, admitted he cannot see David Moyes leaving West Ham for Celtic this summer.

The Hoops parted ways with their manager, Neil Lennon, in February following a string of disappointing results which saw their hopes of making it 10 successive Scottish titles slip as their city rivals wrapped up the league.

One name which has been linked with the permanent managerial role at Celtic is West Ham manager Moyes.

The Hammers have shocked the Premier League this season as they find themselves battling with fourth-placed Chelsea for a place in next season’s Champions League.

Lee said he does not view Moyes as a real candidate and believes it could be a ploy by his agent to get an improved deal out of the London side.

He said: “No chance he’ll take the Celtic job. It’s probably just David Moyes’ agent trying to get a better contract for him at West Ham.

Why would he leave West Ham? David Moyes has really done a good job of organising this team and he’s always been a good  organiser of every team he’s managed and now he’s got players in the side that can score goals.”

John Kennedy is currently at the helm for Celtic following Lennon’s departure, however, he has already admitted he does not see the role becoming a permanent one.

TIF Thoughts on Moyes’ future…

Moyes has done a sensational job with the Hammers this season. Last season he was brought in to keep the London side in the league, however, they have progressed significantly this campaign and find themselves well within the mix for a European place.

The Scottish manager has been linked with the Celtic job, but reports suggest he is likely to sign a new contract at West Ham following this terrific season so far and he has already admitted he is happy with the Hammers.
