Many Celtic fans have been talking about the situation of loaned-out midfielder Olivier Ntcham after an update emerged on social media.

Olivier Ntcham left Celtic on a loan deal in the January transfer window, as he joined Marseille on a temporary basis. Marseille have the option to sign him permanently in the summer.

Recently, Ntcham suffered humiliation from the French press as Marseille lost to fourth-tier Canet Roussillon from the fourth division in France. He was taken off at half time in the game as local paper La Provence ended up giving him a rating of 1/10 (as per the Daily Record).

An update about this was relayed on Facebook by Celtic News Now. Many Hoops supporters made their views clear about the midfielder.

What did Celtic fans make of the update involving Ntcham?

Marseille have the option to buy him permanently for a fee of £4.5 million. When he joined Marseille, then-manager Andre Villas-Boas had expressed his frustration about the transfer and offered his resignation (as per Sky Sports).

Ntcham has played just twice in Ligue 1, playing 72 minutes of league football, alongside two appearances in the Coupe de France (as per Transfermarkt).

A lot of these Celtic supporters are angry at Ntcham and some of them don’t have positive things to say about him.

In the Premiership campaign for Celtic, Ntcham picked up a disappointing rating of 6.46/10. Even in previous seasons, the Frenchman didn’t play regularly for the Bhoys – even though he did contribute in the goalscoring department on occasion.

Because of the poor season that he’s had and the way he’s being criticised in France, it’s easy to see why Hoops supporters are frustrated about the midfielder and it looks like they would be against him returning to Parkhead in the summer.
