Fans of Celtic have been reacting to a post on Twitter, in which the Bhoys confirmed their starting XI for Sunday’s Old Firm derby.

With Celtic’s bitter rivals having already secured the Scottish Premiership title this season, all that remains for the Hoops to play for in the league is pride, with Sunday’s fixture offering Celtic the chance to inflict a first league defeat of the season on Steven Gerrard’s side.

How much do you think members of the Bhoys' squad are worth according to Transfermarkt? Starting with an easy one how much do you think Odsonne Edouard is worth?

However, after the club relayed John Kennedy’s starting XI for the Old Firm derby on Twitter, fans of the Hoops appeared distraught with a number of the interim manager’s selections for the match, with some questioning why Scott Brown has been selected from the off, while simply stated that the lineup gave them no hope of a victory.

Are you pleased with Kennedy's team selection?

So, what exactly did these Celtic fans have to say in reaction to John Kennedy’s starting XI?

“Absolutely fuming.”

@RlEoin

“Seriously, what was the point of getting rid of Lennon? Same team and same tactics.”

@JungleLion_

“I swear Kennedy has put this team out just for a laugh.”

@ben_rigden

“Pain.”

@liammurphy39

“Christie and Brown starting gives me zero hope.”

@WereGlasgowCelt

“Oh my god, that’s bad.”

@AidanSellik

“Kennedy is as clueless as Lennon. Soro has arguably been one of our best discoveries this season and our coaching team have tossed him aside at every opportunity.”

@jordankenny7

“He’s absolutely lost his head if he thinks starting Brown is going to make the slightest difference.”

@joobylooby_

“This is bad. Can this season just end pls?”

@JimtheTim_

“Scandalous team no change from Lennon.”

@jameshewitt380

“Good joke now announce real team.”

@cfcandrew_

“Over before it’s even started.”

@J4M3SSmith1980

All in all, it would seem as if these Celtic fans are far from happy with Kennedy’s team selection for the Old Firm derby, so hopefully for the manager’s sake, his side can put on an impressive display on Sunday to appease some of the fans’ concerns.
