This comes after Celtic news Facebook account Celtic News Now shared a post relaying comments made by Christie to the Daily Record (via 67HailHail).

Which club did Brown join Celtic from?

Christie said that “every player” at the club, including himself, is “hurting and wants to put things right,” in regards to Rangers’ recent SPFL title win, seemingly pledging his future to the Hoops, despite his current contract at the club set to expire next year.

This post then gathered a lot of replies from Celtic fans, who were not shy in sharing their thoughts on the midfield man.

So, what did these Celtic fans have to say in response to this post about Christie?

Celtic signed Christie back in 2015 from Inverness Caledonian Thistle for an undisclosed fee. Overall, the 26-year-old, who is currently valued at £8.1 million, has made 134 appearances for the Parkhead club in which he has managed to score 38 goals and provide 40 assists along the way (per Transfermarkt).

Looking at the replies to this post, it seems that these Celtic fans are not interested in Christie’s comments about the future and would rather see him leave the club.

Do you think Celtic should get rid of Ryan Christie?

No

Given how Christie is currently Celtic’s second-highest rated player for his performances in this current SPFL campaign with a season rating of 7.36/10 (as per WhoScored), this shows that he has been an integral part of Celtic’s season on the pitch.

However, if these Celtic fans think he hasn’t been playing for the shirt and should leave the club, this shows that Christie’s comments haven’t convinced them he should be part of the squad moving forward – and perhaps the agony of surrendering their nine-year grip on the title has taken its toll on the fanbase.
