Celtic fans on Facebook have been responding to the latest news concerning former Hoops midfielder John Collins.
This comes after Celtic news Facebook page Celtic News Now shared a post on their page relaying comments made by Collins to BBC Radio Scotland last month (via BBC Sport).
Collins revealed that becoming Celtic’s director of football would “of course be of interest” should the opportunity arise for him.
This post then gathered a lot of replies from lots of Hoops fans, who were not shy in sharing their thoughts on the matter.
So, what did these Hoops fans have to say in response to these comments from Collins about potentially becoming Celtic’s next director of football?
Looking at the replies to this post, it seems fairly clear that these Hoops fans would not want to see Collins named as their new director of football.

Moving forward, it will be intriguing to see whether or not the club decides to hire a director of football in the coming weeks or months and who it could be.
Given how the club has fallen so far behind Rangers at the top of the SPFL table this season, perhaps hiring someone as a director of football could put them in a better position to try and win the title next season – though it is clear that the fans do not want such a responsibility given out to just anybody.
