Celtic supporters have been reacting to a post on Facebook after it was reported that Albian Ajeti could depart the club this summer.
The Switzerland international only joined the Glasgow giants in 2020, arriving after a £4.5m move from Premier League outfit West Ham United, but he’s struggled to find his best form north of the border.
Ajeti has scored six goals and provided four assists in 27 appearances for the Hoops this season as they’ve surrendered their league crown without a fight and has failed to make an appearance under interim manager John Kennedy.
According to Football Insider, ex-Scotland boss Alex McLeish has questioned the 24-year-old’s attitude in training after he was dropped from the matchday squad for the Old Firm derby last time out, leading to the supporters being asked whether they would keep or sell the striker and the response was clear.
Ajeti’s first season in Scottish football may not have gone as he had hoped, but nobody within this Celtic team has covered themselves in glory this season, and the former Basel man arguably deserves another chance to show his worth.
