Lots of Celtic fans have been discussing Gabriel Agbonlahor’s comments about Eddie Howe.
Agbonlahor was recently talking to Football Insider about Howe and how he could suit Celtic. Agbonlahor urged Celtic to follow the same route as their Old Firm rivals, who hired a young manager in Steven Gerrard – a gamble that has duly paid off. He believes that Celtic shouldn’t bring in a former player as manager and Howe would be the ‘perfect’ appointment for them.
Howe has been linked with the Celtic post following Neil Lennon’s recent resignation.

Agbonlahor described Howe to be a manager with an ‘amazing’ career and he believes that the Englishman would love the chance to manage at Parkhead.
He feels that Howe can bring in a fresh approach to the club and can offer different ideas at the Parkhead-based side. Football Insider has previously reported that Celtic have asked Howe about his interest in the job. He is thought to be interested in taking over, but has his eyes on a job in the Premier League.
A lot of these Celtic supporters want the club to hire Howe and others feel that the structure above the manager needs to change first.
Ian Ladyman from the Daily Mail has stated that Howe should jump at the chance to manage Celtic, as it will allow him a chance to prove that he can step up a level in an ‘unrelenting’ environment at Parkhead.
However, since the Englishman appears to be prioritising a move to the Premier League, it might be a stiff task for Celtic to hire him.
