Celtic fans on Facebook have been discussing Hoops defender Jack Hendry and his potential future at the Parkhead club.

This comes after Celtic news Facebook page Celtic Insider shared a post on their page relaying quotes made by Hendry to BBC Sport about a range of topics regarding himself and his future.

Which club did Brown join Celtic from?

On the subject of his future and where he could be playing next season, he said that it is “vital” that wherever he chooses to play next season, he needs to play every week to continue his development.

He also added that if Celtic want to keep him then “that’s something they would need to make a decision on.”

This post then gathered a lot of replies from Hoops fans, who were quick to share their thoughts on what the player had to say.

So, what did these Celtic fans have to say in response to these comments from Hendry about his future?

Hendry, who is currently on a loan deal at Belgian side KV Oostende, originally signed to Celtic back in the 2018 January transfer window from fellow Scottish side Dundee for a fee of £1.44 million.

Overall, the 25-year-old, who is currently valued at £900k, has made just 27 appearances for the Hoops (per Transfermarkt).

Looking at the replies to this post, it appears that these Celtic fans think the club should bring the centre-half back to the club when his loan deal ends and use him in their squad for next season.

Do you think Celtic should keep hold of Jack Hendry?

Yes

No

No

This shows that they have confidence in his abilities and that he can prove to be a useful member of the squad in the foreseeable future.

Given how Celtic have conceded 23 goals in the current SPFL season so far compared to Rangers’ nine, perhaps including Hendry in their squad for next season could help improve their defensive strength.
