Which club did Brown join Celtic from?

One club he spent a bit of time on was Celtic after Neil Lennon resigned from his position as the club’s first-team manager.

This led Castles to reveal what he thinks the Bhoys will do as they attempt to appoint a new manager.

He said: (49:22) “You’re talking about a club that can be a platform to go elsewhere and I would imagine that Celtic, when they are talking to candidates, will use Brendan Rodgers as an example of someone whose career has been reinvigorated off the back of a period of great success at Celtic.”

Do you think this is a good tactic?

TIF Thoughts on this potential tactic…

Rodgers had great success with Celtic as he won seven trophies in his time at Celtic Park before Leicester City came calling and he moved to the Premier League.

Since he has joined the Foxes, they have been transformed and currently sit in third position in the league, so you can see why Celtic might sell that idea to any potential managers.

There have been a huge number of managers linked with the job ranging from Rafael Benitez to John Kennedy, and we think it will be interesting to see who becomes the next Celtic boss.

Certainly, the notion that the Celtic job opens up doors could be appealing to many candidates, and we will be fascinated to see how the process goes and who becomes Lennon’s replacement.
