Duncan Castles has been speaking on the latest edition of The Transfer Window podcast about news from various clubs around Europe.
This led Castles to reveal what he thinks the Bhoys will do as they attempt to appoint a new manager.
He said: (49:22) “You’re talking about a club that can be a platform to go elsewhere and I would imagine that Celtic, when they are talking to candidates, will use Brendan Rodgers as an example of someone whose career has been reinvigorated off the back of a period of great success at Celtic.”
Do you think this is a good tactic?
Yes, it could bring in a top quality manager
No, we shouldn't be selling ourselves as a stepping stone
TIF Thoughts on this potential tactic…
There have been a huge number of managers linked with the job ranging from Rafael Benitez to John Kennedy, and we think it will be interesting to see who becomes the next Celtic boss.
Certainly, the notion that the Celtic job opens up doors could be appealing to many candidates, and we will be fascinated to see how the process goes and who becomes Lennon’s replacement.
