Sky Sports journalist Anthony Joseph has been sharing his thoughts on former AFC Bournemouth head coach Eddie Howe becoming Celtic’s new manager.
This comes after Joseph recently made a guest appearance on The Celtic Exchange Podcast where he discussed a variety of topics concerning the Hoops.
He said: “Eddie Howe would be a great fit for what Celtic need, in what I think Celtic need and what Celtic would be looking for and I think Celtic would be a great fit for Eddie Howe.”
Back in February, it was revealed that Neil Lennon had left the club after falling 18 points behind Rangers at the top of the SPFL table. Since then, John Kennedy has been taking charge of Celtic’s matches as their interim manager.
Celtic have currently won 20 out of their 32 played league games so far this season, drawing eight and losing four in the process (per BBC Sport).
Should Eddie Howe be Celtic's first choice manager target?
TIF Thoughts on Anthony Joseph’s comments on Howe potentially becoming Celtic’s new manager…
Given how the 43-year-old has racked up a significant amount of experience managing in England’s top two divisions throughout his career, taking charge of 190 games in the Premier League and 168 games in the Championship, it would be interesting to see how he would fare in Scotland if he were given the chance at Celtic to take the team forward.
However, with Howe having failed to keep his former Bournemouth side in the Premier League at the end of last season, this could put some doubt into his capabilities of potentially being a success at Parkhead.
