Sky Sports journalist Anthony Joseph has made a claim concerning Celtic midfielder Ryan Christie and his future at the Parkhead club.

This comes after Joseph recently made a guest appearance on The Celtic Exchange Podcast where he spoke about a number of topics concerning the Bhoys.

How much do you think members of the Bhoys' squad are worth according to Transfermarkt? Starting with an easy one how much do you think Odsonne Edouard is worth?

On the subject of the upcoming summer transfer window and what potential incoming and outgoing business could happen at Parkhead in it, Joseph had this to say about Christie in particular.

He said: “Christie, I think is more likely to leave this summer.

“He’s already, I think, made it clear that he doesn’t want to sign a new contract because he’s looking for a move.”

Celtic signed Christie in 2015 from fellow Scottish club Inverness Caledonian Thistle for an undisclosed fee.

Overall, the 26-year-old, who is currently valued at £8.1 million, has made 134 appearances for Celtic in which he has scored 38 goals and provided 40 assists along the way (per Transfermarkt).

Do you think Celtic should try and get Christie to sign a new deal?

TIF Thoughts on Anthony Joseph’s comments on Christie and his future at Celtic…

Given how Christie has managed to score four goals and provide eight assists in the SPFL for Celtic so far this season, earning himself a decent season rating of 7.36/10, making him their second-highest-rated player for the season, suggests that if he were to leave this summer, he would be a big miss for them, in our view, particularly in an attacking sense.

However, with it being recently reported that the club have not given up hope of Christie potentially signing a new deal at Parkhead, it will be intriguing to see how this situation pans out.
