Speaking recently on The West Ham Way podcast, ExWHUemployee provided an update on the fitness of West Ham United midfielder Pablo Fornals ahead of the Hammers’ clash with Arsenal this weekend.

So far this season, Fornals has been in rather unremarkable form over his 24 Premier League appearances for David Moyes’ side, scoring two goals and registering three assists, as well as averaging a SofaScore match rating of 6.74/10 – ranking him as the club’s 16th-best performer in the top flight.

Nice easy one to start off with. How much do you think Declan Rice is worth?

And, after missing the Hammers’ recent loss to Manchester United due to injury, the £79,000-per-week 25-year-old appeared to also be a doubt for the visit of Arsenal this Sunday, however, speaking on a recent episode of The West Ham Way, ExWHUemployee claimed that the Spaniard now looks likely to be available for selection for the fixture.

He said: “Fornals will be back for Arsenal, Fornals is available for the weekend, I think. So actually, it could be the first time we could have a full-strength squad to choose from in ages.”

TIF Thoughts on ExWHUemployee’s comments regarding Pablo Fornals…

While Fornals has hardly been in the form of his life so far this season, the midfielder appears to be one of the players who Moyes views as a central part of his side, as the Scot has started the 25-year-old 22 times in the league this year.

As such, the return of the Spaniard is something that is likely to be a boost for the West Ham boss, who will undoubtedly be looking to put the recent disappointing loss against United behind him, and taking three points from the clash with the Gunners this weekend would be the perfect way to ensure the Hammers keep up with the pace in the race for Champions League qualification this season.
