Who did West Ham United face in their opening fixture of the 2020/21 Premier League season?

One of the topics that he spent a little bit of time on was Tammy Abraham, who has been linked with a move to the London Stadium.

The 23-year-old is said to be unhappy at Chelsea and could look to move on in the summer, and the Hammers are interested.

Last season Abraham scored 15 goals in 34 league appearances, but this season, he has been limited to 30 appearances in all competitions in which he has scored 12 goals.

However, some Hammers fans are not keen on signing Abraham and Ex is baffled by this.

He said: “How anyone cannot want us to sign Abraham baffles me, it baffles me.

“England international, and he’s young, so he’s only going to get better; he’s exactly the sort of signing I would want us to make – young, hungry to prove himself, an England international. I just don’t understand why anyone wouldn’t want him.”

Do you think Abraham would be a good signing?

TIF Thoughts on Abraham…

Abraham has scored lots of goals in the Championship throughout his career, but he hasn’t quite hit those numbers in the Premier League.

However, you could argue that he hasn’t been given the chance to do that, especially this season.

The fact that Abraham is only 23 and already has a lot of senior experience and senior goals could make him an ideal addition to West Ham’s squad.

The only striker the Hammers have in their first team is Michail Antonio, so you would think that signing Abraham would make perfect sense for West Ham.

Certainly, Ex thinks so, and we agree with him.
