Tottenham fans have reacted on Twitter to reports Giovani Lo Celso should be available to play within the next fortnight.
The Argentine playmaker was signed back in 2019 as the planned successor to Christian Eriksen after the Dane left to join Serie A leaders Inter.
However, this season has proven a difficult one for the 24-year-old, who has been plagued by injuries and has not featured for Spurs since before Christmas due to a hamstring injury that has left him sidelined.
Jose Mourinho confirmed in his Wednesday press conference he is hopeful the Argentine will return to the squad within the next two weeks.
Having only featured 11 times in the league this season for the Lilywhites, the Spurs fans took a rather sarcastic approach in their response to the news.
“The year is 2028. The manager maintains that Gio is ‘one to two weeks away’.”
Should Lo Celso start for Tottenham?
Yes
No
“Stealing a living“
“Snooze-fest. Refund. Good player. Made of glass.”
You can sense the frustration from the Spurs fans given his lack of game time this season. Lo Celso did not struggle with injuries during his time at Real Betis and PSG which further adds to the annoyance of the Tottenham faithful.
