Speaking on the latest episode of the Tifo Football podcast, Seb Stafford-Bloor has shared his opinion on the future of RB Leipzig manager Julian Nagelsmann.

The 33-year-old boss is one of the most highly-rated managers in the game, as despite his tender years, has been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur in recent months.

Nagelsmann was appointed as Hoffenheim’s head coach in 2016 and the German has since gone on to establish himself amongst the best brains in the European game.

With Spurs continuing to stutter under Jose Mourinho, Nagelsmann became an obvious candidate to succeed the Portuguese, but Stafford-Bloor doesn’t believe that will be the case.

Stafford-Bloor said: “I don’t think he comes to the Premier League. I’ve heard the reports like everybody else that he is interested in Tottenham, and Tottenham would theoretically be interested in him, but I think he probably moves at the end of this season, and I think he has always been destined for Bayern Munich, I would have thought. I’d be very surprised if he doesn’t go there.

“If not this summer, then at some point in his career, he’s going to manage Bayern Munich, isn’t he? I’d certainly like to see him in England, just because I’d like to see him compete with Guardiola and Klopp and potentially Mourinho; that would be interesting, but I can’t see that happening.”

TIF Thoughts on Nagelsmann…

It could be argued that Nagelsmann is one of the most exciting and tactically intriguing managers lighting up the European game.

His Leipzig side reached the Champions League semi-finals last season playing an attractive and aggressive brand of football.

Managing Bayern is a dream job for any aspiring manager, and one that would be understandably difficult to turn down, but Hansi Flick is doing a fabulous job at the Allianz Arena at this moment in time, so perhaps Nagelsmann could be tempted by a move to the Premier League while he waits for his opportunity in Bavaria.
